Some workers at the Fisher-Price complex in East Aurora have learned they are out of a job. The announcement was made on Thursday morning, as part of a decision by Mattel, Fisher-Price's parent company.

A spokesperson says between 10 and 20 positions at the East Aurora location were eliminated. She says it was a combination of layoffs, early retirements, and attrition to cut the payroll. The complex employs about 900 people in a variety of corporate, research and professional positions.

In a statement, Mattel announced less than 80 positions were eliminated across the U.S.

This is the second round of layoffs in just under a year at the Fisher-Price headquarters in East Aurora. 70 people were let go back in november of 2008.
