NIAGARA FALLS, NY - The Class of 2010 has certainly left it's musical mark on Niagara Falls High School.

English teacher Amy Chiarella was inspired after seeing a news story on the internet about a school doing a video as a lesson on unity. She thought it would make a great senior project and one that would bring the senior class together with one goal. She was right.

Chiarella brought her idea to Media teacher Rich Meranto, who worked out the technical end of things. The only thing left was rallying the students. That's where senior Ralynn Morrison comes into the picture. She worked out the choreography with Chiarella and pulled the class together.

One evening in May they held a dress rehearsal and then had the students look at it and decide what worked and what didn't. They came back the next night and inside of four takes, they had their masterpiece.

The result was a sweeping, continuous-shot video, involving 220 students leading the viewer on a visual tour of the high school. All of this to the tune of The Black Eyed Peas song "I Gotta Feeling".

The lip-syncing seniors danced, posed and mugged their way through the song as the camera swept by. It all wraps up in a crescendo in the gym, a "nothing-but-net" shot from the top of the key to the last beat of the song. At that point, all 220 participants come from the stands while singing one final verse.

What a way to say goodbye, and what a memento of that oh-so-special senior year in high school.
