BUFFALO, NY -- Holiday spirit was alive at the Walden Galleria Mall on Saturday where Christmas shoppers got an unexpected surprise.

A flash mob broke out on the staircase in front of JcPenney at Noon, and 2 On Your Side caught all of the action.

An estimated 100 people joined together and sang the "Whoville" carol from the popular Christmas movie, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." Signs were held up at the end of the song stating "Support the Arts" and "Empower Arts, Buffalo!"

The first flash mob occurred in Manhattan in 2003, and since then people have been breaking out in song and dance at public places all over the world.
