WEST SENECA, NY-- It's a message that police and others have tried for years to hammer home.
Some local high school students are getting it and pledging not to text while behind the wheel or drink and drive.
Their pledge was unique in that the students at West Seneca West High School created a "chain of life" by signing pieces of red and green paper and connecting them.
Members of the high school club "Students Against Destructive Decisions" and peer counselors lead this effort.
The chain of life is displayed prominently in the school to serve as a reminder for all students, and faculty about the dangers of texting while driving and drinking and driving.
We here at Two on Your Side are also big on spreading the word about the dangers of these two behaviors.
