The Lights from Nik Wallenda's walk are packed away

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - The crowds have gone home and the lights have been packed away. Now the cleanup from Nik Wallenda's wire spectacle can begin.

Crews began taking down the tightrope shortly after Wallenda completed his walk. The wire that took several days to put up, was taken down in a matter of hours.

Cleanup also began in earnest in Niagara Falls State Park on Saturday. The fencing and barriers that were set up for the event, were all dismantled and packed away.

After his walk, Nik Wallenda told us what's next for him.

"I have permits to be the first person in the world to walk across the Grand Canyon," says Wallenda. "So that's a process we'll begin working on right now...and I would say within the next three to five years, I'll have accomplished that one as well."

It is fair to point out that was also his answer back in 2008, when Wallenda set a world record for riding a bike on a tightrope.
