SARDINIA, NY-- A New York State Trooper was taken to the hospital to be checked out following an accident involving an 18-wheeler.
It happened around 11:40 a.m. at the intersection of Routes 16 and 39 in the Town of Sardinia in Erie County.
Troopers say a marked State Police Chevy Tahoe was hit by the 18-wheeler. There was heavy front-end damage to the State Police vehicle.
State Police say they will release more details after they interview the driver of the truck and several witnesses.
The female Trooper was driven to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital as a precaution. The Trooper's name isn't being released at this time.
