BUFFALO, N.Y. - Supporters of the Buffalo and Erie County Library System are calling on the Erie County Executive to restore millions of dollars in funding.
On Tuesday, library officials hand delivered thousands of signed postcards from the library to Mark Poloncarz's office at the Rath Building downtown.
The postcards ask Poloncarz to restore $3.6 million in library cuts.
Poloncarz's spokesman, Peter Anderson, accepted the delivery, but made no guarantees, saying the library is a piece of the entire budget.
Library officials say for every one dollar in funding given to them, nearly seven dollars is returned in services.
