TOWN OF TONAWANDA, NY -  Town of Tonawanda Police were called to a business Tuesday morning on Military Road where an inactive grenade was found.

Police Lieutenant Nicholas Bado tells 2 On Your Side an employee at Anderson Equipment Company noticed what he thought was a grenade in the work area of Paul Kaiser.

Kaiser, 26, is the suspect who was stopped Monday in LeRoy for speeding when police say they found a homemade grenade in his car at the time.

Officers evacuated the building as a precaution.

The Erie County Bomb Squad was called in to check out the device where they determined the grenade was inactive, and that it's the same kind that anyone can buy at an Army Navy surplus store.

Kaiser is charged with criminal possession of a weapon for the grenade, and various vehicle and traffic violations for Monday's incident. Investigators also searched his East Aurora home, but it is unknown if they found anything there.
