BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The 2013 Catholic Charities Appeal is underway.
New Buffalo Bishop Richard Malone said this years goal is $10.7 million.
"As followers of Christ, all of us are challenged to serve those who are poor and most vulnerable in our community and we're all asked because of that commitment to support the wonderful and really urgent work of Catholic Charities," said Malone.
Catholic Charities has more than 700 volunteers to help them meet this year's goal, which runs until the end of June.
The organization provides help across all eight counties of Western New York.
