BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo fire crews are battling a large fire at a vacant building in Buffalo's Genesee-Moselle neighborhood.
The call first went out around 12:30 Tuesday morning of a fire at a vacant building by the intersection of Doat and Genesee Streets.
Crews arriving on scene found heavy smoke & flames pouring from the structure.
The building is located at 1655 Genesee Street and was the former home to Golebiewski's Toy Store. The building has sat vacant since the 1980's and parts were already falling over when it was previously inspected by the fire department.
Due to the dilapidated nature of the building, firefighters assumed defensive positions to fight the flames.
