LOCKPORT, NY-- A Tonawanda teen is facing a felony DWI charge after he was allegedly caught driving drunk in a stolen car.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says there were investigating a report of a reckless driver in the Town of Lockport, along with the City of Lockport Police Department.
Officials say Lockport Officer Aric Morgan discovered the vehicle on South Transit Road in Lockport.
They say the driver of the car, David F. Geary,16, did not stop when the officer first attempted to pull him over, going through multiple red traffic lights and making unsafe lane changes.
Once Geary did stop, officials discovered Geary had a 14-year-old passenger in the vehicle.
A Niagara County Sheriff Deputy administered a field sobriety test on Geary and say he failed all tests.
Geary was arrested and charged with three counts of Driving While Intoxicated, including Aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law. Geary was also charged with driving a stolen vehicle and several traffic violations.
He was arraigned and bail was set at $750. His next court date is April 16, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.
