TORONTO, Ontario - An immediate family member of the suspected bombers lives a little more than an hour away from here in Toronto. She was among the many relatives who spoke to reporters as Friday's events unfolded.

Speaking to reporters in Toronto, Maret Tsarnaev, who is the aunt of the suspected bombers, said her nephews were being set up.

"Give evidence," she said. "Give evidence at least to family members because I will never accuse my relatives, my close nephews without having evidence. . . I am suspicious that this was staged. the picture was staged. Whoever did this, whoever is looking for needs to be blamed for these acts."

Meantime, their father, Anzor Tsarnaev, who was speaking from his home in Russia, called the shooting of his oldest son, Tamerlan, "cowardly," adding he believed the boys were framed. The boys' uncle in Maryland also he wanted to see proof.

However, another uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, was furious with his nephews, calling them "losers." He also left a message for the younger of the two brothers, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, who was at large at the time.

"I say, Dzhokhar, If you're alive, turn yourself in," Tsarni said. "And ask for forgiveness from the victims, from the injured, and from those who left, ask forgiveness from these people. We're not requiring forgiveness in this family. He put a shame on the Tsarni and Tsarnaev family. He put a shame on the entire Chechen ethnicity."

Reporters asked Tsarni if he loved America.

"I respect this country, I love this country," he said. "This country which gives [a] chance to everybody else to be treated as a human being. And to just be a human being, to feel yourself human being. That's what I feel about this country."
