EAST AURORA, N.Y. -- The 2013 Decorators' Showhouse is open for viewing.

The Knox Summer Estate at Knox Farm State Park was chosen by the Junior League of Buffalo and will be open for tours through May 19.  It features some of the hottest new trends in design and furniture.

The home is a 14,400 square foot two-story summer home, circa 1916-17. Cleveland architects Frank Bell Meade and James Montgomery Hamilton designed the home for Frank H., Jr. and Dorothy Knox Goodyear who eventually sold it to Seymour H. Knox, Jr.  The extensive country property was home to the Knox family until 2000.

In 2001, New York State acquired the 633-acre park. The main house, site of Decorators' Show House 2013, has twenty-six rooms, extensive gardens and overlooks one of the park's most breathtaking vistas. The park's 633 acres encompass a mixture of habitats, including 400 acres of grasslands and 100 acres of woodlands, ponds and several wetland areas.
