Late Friday night near Hertel Avenue and Camden Avenue a man on a motorcycle lost control and drove up onto to the sidewalk and crashed. Buffalo Police think may have been racing with another biker.
The 28-year-old man was taken to ECMC where he's listed in serious condition.
Charges are pending in the case.
Then on Saturday, Amherst Police say, a man driving a dirtbike the wrong way down Dodge Road at about 6:30 p.m. hit a car head on, after another car had to swerve to avoid hitting him.
Philip Gaulin, 46, of Amherst was taken by ambulance to ECMC with a serious head injury, compounded by the fact that he wasn't wearing a helmet.
He does not have a license and his motorcycle was not registered or insured.
Another crash on Saturday, this one also involving a motorcycle, sent five people to the hospital. Two had to be transported by Mercy Flight.
The accident happened in Genesee County when the driver of the white vehicle shown in the attached video veered over the center line and crashed head on into the SUV. A motorcyclist following the white car somehow managed to steer his vehicle through the collision scene, although he did go down with the bike a short distance beyond.
The injuries sustained in the accident are not believed to be life threatening.
