Second Teen Charged in Cab Driver's Death

BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo Police say they've arrested a second suspect in connection to the murder of a cab driver in March.

Sean Austin, 16,  was charged with 2nd degree murder and robbery.   Austin and Maurice Howie, 17, are accused of robbing and murdering Mazen Abdallah on March 6, 2012.

The Erie County District Attorney's office says Austin and Howie, along with Rokym Knox, 19, Dequan Bailey, 17 and Devante Wells, 17, all of Buffalo, robbed taxi drivers, or pizza delivery drivers at gunpoint over a three month period "culminating in the death of Abdallah."

Knox, Bailey and Wells face multiple robbery charges, but they are not charged in connection to Abdallah's death.

Austin is accused of the following crimes: two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, three counts of Robbery in the First Degree and five counts of Robbery in the Second Degree. If convicted of these crimes, Austin faces a maximum of 120 years to life in state prison.

Knox is accused of the following crimes: two counts of Robbery in the Second Degree. If convicted of these charges, Knox faces a maximum of 15 years in state prison.

Bailey is accused of the following crimes: one count of Robbery in the First Degree and five counts of Robbery in the Second Degree. If convicted of these crimes, Bailey faces a maximum of 70 years in state prison.

Wells is accused of the following crimes: two counts of Robbery in the Second Degree. If convicted of these crimes, Wells faces a maximum of 15 years in state prison.

All pleaded not guilty in state Supreme Court.
