Rochester Man Charged with Selling Counterfeit Stamps in Buffalo

A Rochester man is accused of selling counterfeit stamps at small grocery stores in Buffalo.

Alcides Marcelino has been charged in U.S. District Court in Buffalo with three counts of possession and sale of counterfeit postage stamps.

An indictment alleges that he sold counterfeit Lady Liberty and U.S. Flag forever stamps in 2010 and 2012, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The main postal facility in Buffalo discovered numerous letters with the stamps.
