LOCKPORT, NY - Police say they're looking for three teenagers in connection to large fire on Gooding Street earlier today.
Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles around Niagara and Erie counties. The blaze was in a city-owned building that formerly housed a motorcycle shop.
According to Lockport Mayor Michael Tucker a city worker spotted smoke coming from a window around one o'clock and saw three teens running from the building. The worked called the fire department but the building was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

Tucker said the building has been vacant for about five years and that the city has repeatedly tried to take it down, but was met with resistance by local preservation concerns. As a result of the heavy damage caused by Tuesday's mutual aid fire, it will now have to be demolished.
