CLARENCE, NY - Two Clarence teens have been charged with petit larceny and criminal mischief after vandalizing Clarence Town Park and the library on Thursday.
New York State Troopers were called to assist Town of Clarence security officers who saw the boys, ages 16 and 17, steal a fire extinguisher from a pavilion in the park and use it to spray down park property and the library.
One of the teens was caught by a security guard and the other ran away. Troopers helped the security guards catch the second teen a short time later, according to a statement released by New York State Police on Sunday.
Both teens were issued appearance tickets to the Town of Clarence Court. Their names are being withheld because of their age.
