BUFFALO, NY - The Tonawanda Warriors hosted the Lackawanna Steelers under the lights Friday, but this game was different, very different.
The brand new state of the art Clint H. Small football stadium opened. Everything except the name is new: brand new artificial turf, new video scoreboard, a track, and new bleachers with a tunnel for the players to enter the field through.
Tonawanda Superintendent James Newton said it was long overdue.
Lots of alumni were in the stands Friday to watch the inaugural game.
