NIAGARA FALLS, NY - Governor Cuomo was in Niagara Falls Thursday to officially announce on a new hotel project in the Cataract City.
Cuomo announced an agreement between New York State and developer Mark Hamister for a $25.3 million hotel project on Rainbow Boulevard.
Cuomo's announcement was strictly ceremonial as the project, which had been held up in the Falls City Council for several months, was finally approved this past Monday night.
Hamister said Governor Cuomo was the "man who has made a difference" in referring to getting the deal done.
However, during his appearance today, details were released on how and when Cuomo was finally convinced to become directly involved in salvaging the deal.
