BUFFALO, N.Y.-A place where hazardous materials were once dumped on Buffalo's East Side has now been transformed into town-homes for low-to-mid income families.
The True Bethel Town-homes on East Ferry Street opened today and ground was broken on a new development for seniors across the street.
"This is amazing, what is happening in this neighborhood. We've built houses from the ground up, brought businesses here, and now to do these multi-units, and to go right across the street and break ground for the senior units, means a lot to this neighborhood," said True Bethel Baptist Church Pastor Darius Pridgen.
Pridgen also told 2 On Your Side there are plans for a Dollar General store to be built nearby.
