BUFFALO, N.Y.- World renowned city planners will converge on Buffalo next spring to bring new ideas and plans for our future.
Details were unveiled Thursday night for the Congress for the New Urbanism being held in Buffalo in June.
The event draws internationally known designers, developers, planners, architects and advocates of walkable, mixed-use neighborhoods.
Innovations are shared with community leaders and decision-makers who will play a role in designing Buffalo's future.
"But we hope we get the benefit of making better decisions in the future. We're learning ideas from other places, from the greatest minds in the world on land use and the built in environment. So we hope that we won't be doing the silver bullets anymore," said event co-chair George Grasser.
Thursday's presentation included a viewing of the new video called "Buffalo: America's Best Designed City".
