ORCHARD PARK, NY - Two people were injured in a rollover crash on Southwestern Boulevard during the morning commute.
It happened just after 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Mid-County Drive.
Orchard Park Police say Chester Przybylo, 81, turned into the path of an oncoming pickup truck hauling a trailer. The vehicle went airborne, rolled, and hit a tree before coming to a stop. He had to be extricated from his vehicle by members of the Orchard Park and Windom Volunteer fire departments. The Lackawanna resident was taken to ECMC for treatment of cuts and a head injury.
The truck driver, William Martin, 55, of Hamburg, had minor injuries and was taken to Buffalo General.
The driver of a third vehicle that was hit as a result of the accident, Edwin Gwynne, 83, of Hamburg, was not hurt.
Police say Mr. Przybylo will be charged with failing to yield the right of way.
