BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo emergency personnel were working to shore up a building that was hit by a car on Northland Avenue Saturday afternoon.
Buffalo police spoeskman Mike DeGeorge told us a vehicle was trying to make a turn and stopped to avoid an oncoming vehicle.
The vehicle that was turning then skidded off the road and hit the base of the house.
The 20-year-old female driver and a passenger were taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment and released.
The Buffalo Fire Department had a second chance in as many days to use a new truck that's been specially outfitted for the purpose of securing damaged buildings. We're trying to find out if the department deployed the new unit because there have been so many cases of vehicles hitting buildings in the past year or so.
