Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - Lazeric Jones posted a game-high 20 points to
lead the UCLA Bruins to a 66-57 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils in a
Pac-12 showdown at Wells Fargo Arena.
David Wear added 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win for UCLA
(16-12, 9-6 Pac-12) while Joshua Smith tallied 10 points from off the bench.
Jonathan Gilling scored 17 points to lead the way for ASU (8-20, 4-12), which
also got 13 and 10 points from Trent Lockett and Chris Colvin, respectively.
The Sun Devils were limited to just 40.0 percent from the field during the
opening stanza, helping UCLA to a slight 25-24 halftime edge.
The Bruins then hit 55.6 percent of their attempts from the floor over the
final 20 minutes to capture an 11-point victory.
The Sun Devils were guilty of a game-high 18 giveaways in the loss.
