points and 10 rebounds, the Eastern Michigan Eagles took down the Bowling
Green Falcons, 69-57, in a Mid-American Conference matchup at the Convocation
For the Eagles (12-8, 4-3 MAC), Mike Talley added 12 points, while Daylen
Harrison and Raven Lee each finished with 10 points.
Richaun Holmes led the Falcons (9-11, 3-4) with 20 points, while Anthony
Henderson finished with 12 points, Spencer Parker scored 10 and Cameron
Black pulled down 10 rebounds.
Eastern Michigan shot 44.1 percent from the field in the first half while
Bowling Green shot 43.5 percent. Despite the shooting parity, Eagles took a
39-29 lead into halftime by pulling down 12 offensive rebounds and converting
them into 15 points. They also forced 12 turnovers, which turned into 16
Both teams struggled from the field after intermission, with the Eagles
shooting only 34.6 percent and the Falcons just 30.3 percent. The Falcons got
as close as five early in the second but the Eagles were able to pull away,
pushing their lead to as many as 19 points as they coasted to victory.
Eastern Michigan had the advantage down low, outscoring Bowling Green 36-22 in
the paint. The Eagles also finished with a 24-4 edge in points off of
turnovers, as they created 17 takeaways in the game.
