Class A North
Sweet Home (3-0): Panthers continue to roll with their 53rd consecutive win against Section VI opponents defeating Kenmore West. Senior QB Mike Torillo is having a good season passing and rushing the ball. Bill Attea anchors the line while Khalil Humphrey is an excellent runner. I predict they will win the regular season title for the 7th consecutive year.
McKinley (2-1): The Macks got blown out by Canisius and might play Sweet Home without Reyzon Jordan, their MVP. They play the Vikings in week 7. I predict they will be in the playoffs. Stephon Johnson needs to get the ball more often.
Grand Island (3-0): The Vikings are a surprise team. The coaching staff is exceptional. They have a favorable schedule and can finish second. Quinn, Corrao, Dan Blucho, and Anthony Zogaria lead Dean Santoro's squad.
Starpoint (1-2): Spartans will be fighting for a playoff berth. The matchup in week 5 with Starpoint will be a game they need to win. The loss of RJ hernandez was huge. Junior RB Evan Majewski will rush for 1000 yards. The defense needs to play better. They have the ability to finish 3-1 in the last 4 games. They have an edge with the tie breaker, Williamsville North.
Williamsville North (1-2): The Spartans had a good victory against North Tonawanda for their first win. They have excellent players in Tyler Green, Ryan Majewski, and Derick Eisler. They will battle for the last playoff spot with Starpoint.
North Tonawanda (0-3): The Jacks might have the first losing record in several years. They have injuries to deal with. They play Kenmore East next week at home and play at Starpoint and host McKinley. They will have a tough time making the playoffs.
Niagara Wheatfield (0-3): The Falcons have been outscored 107-6 and the program continues to struggle. They could go winless again and miss the playoffs.
Kenmore East (1-2): The Bulldogs had a good win against the Falcons breaking a losing streak. They also played Grand Island tough in week 1. Connor Smith, Jared Dolan, and Connor McMahon are solid players for Matt Chimerd. They will most likely miss the playoffs.
Projected Finish:
1. Sweet Home
2. McKinley
3. Grand Island

5. Williamsville North
6. North Tonawanda
7. Kenmore East
8. Niagara-Wheatfield

Dan Blocho, Grand Island
Defensive MVPs:
Bill Attea, Sweet Home
Chris Connors, Grand Island
Top Underclassmen:
Evan Majewski, Starpoint
Khalil Humphrey, Sweet Home
Class A South:
West Seneca East (3-0): The Trojans have been sparked by Andy Smigierga, Ryan Johnson, and Scott Ackerman who are all 3 year starters. The win over the Billies Friday would almost guarantee the title. I predict they will be in the playoffs with the 1st or second seed.
Williamsville South (2-1): The Billies rebounded from the loss to Timon with 2 wins. Their success depends on the passing combination of Trent Ferguson to Chaq Nettles. They play their last 3 games at  home. I predict they will have the 1st or 2nd seed in the playoffs depending on the outcome of the game with the Trojans.
Iroquois (2-1): They lost a tough game against Williamsville East. They need Keating and Wilkerson to excel in the remaining games. The Chiefs have a shot of winning the next 4 games.
Williamsville East (2-1): The Flames played the Trojans tough but rebounded with a nice win over Iroquois. The can be a sleeper teams in the playoffs. JB Battle, Ryan Wayne, and Alex DeBernado must play well to get the 3rd seed for the playoffs.
South Park (1-2): The Sparks still have a shot at making the playoffs but can't afford any more losses in league play. Maurice Howie is lightning and is on target for more than 1500 passing yards and 15 touchdowns.
Bennett (0-3): the Tigers season started with high expectations but the number of ineligible players will more than likely have the team out of the playoffs. Khalil Sommerville is an All-WNY candidate at OL/DL. If the players return, they would need to win the rest of season to make the playoffs.
Hamburg (1-2): The Bulldogs had a good game against winless Lake Shore for their first win of the season. The played Williamsville South strong for one half. They play West Seneca east and Iroquois in weeks 5 and 6. They will have trouble making the playoffs.
Lake Shore (0-3): The Eagles have been outscored 82-36 in 3 games. Nick Evans is a player. They still have to play West Seneca East and the Billies. They will most likely be out of the playoffs.
Projected Finish:
1. West Seneca East
2. Williamsville South
3. Williamsville East
4. Iroquois
5. South Park
6. Hamburg
7. Bennett
8. Lake Shore
