Dick Gallagher shares his thoughts, opinions, takes, and picks on the happenings surrounding WNY High School Football in week 4 of the regular season:
Best Game program: Clarence
Booster Club President of the Week: Chuck Specht, Iroquois
Best Uniform: St. Joe's
Best Cheerleaders: Jamestown
Top Chain Gang: Riverside
After 4 week, only 15 of 81 teams are unbeaten.
A total of 45 games will be played this weekend.
Top Freshman: Kevin McFarlane, Orchard Park DB
Top Sophomore: Rod Turner, Depew
Top Junior: DeQuan Hollingsworth, Jamestown
Top Seniors: James Chambers, Lockport RB; Andy Smigiera, West Seneca East
Injury Report: Mitch Walker, Williamsville East senior, is out for the season due to an ACL injury. Kahlil Humphrey, Sweet Home junior RB should be back in week 6. Devin Reynolds and Chris Walker are out. 
Orchard Park is ranked #1 in NYS in Class AA while Maple Grove has the number one ranked team in Class D. 
Four Horsemen: Lewport's Dan Hogan, Zak Nalbone, Dan Reagan, and Billy Schiavitti
JV Scores: Hamburg 6 Bennett 6; Williamsville South 21 West Seneca East 14
Orchard Park freshman are 4-0 after defeating Canisius and have outscored their opponents 171 points to 8. Bob Ferentino, Tony Agnello, and Steve Ferrentino coach the Quakers. 
Andy Smigiera, West Seneca East, is not only one of the top QBs in WNY, he is an excellent defensive back and is the best kicker in the area.
Motivational and Inspirational: Chris Cronin, West Seneca East
The kicking game in WNY football leaves a lot to be desired.
Panama's Rob Benson broke the schools rushing yardage in a game with 240 yards behind the excellent blocking on Tony Paterniti, Devin Ireland, Dustin Smouse, Alec Blose, Tanner Propheter, and Jacob Short.
Tanner Hoose, Southwestern, has booted 2 field goals this season, giving him 11 for his career. The WNY career field goal record is 16.
Active Win Streaks: Hornell, 43; Orchard Park, 17; Maine-Endwell, 16; Sayville, 15; Dobbs Ferry , 14.
Niagara Wheatfield's football program has fallen on hard times. Besides being winless this season, the Falcons will have to play all home games away since renovation of the athletic complex will not be completed until after the football season. 
Best Fans: Tom and Wendy Dietsch
Tadriek Johnson, Amherst, broke the school record for catches in a game with 12. Mark Rubin previously held the record.
Excellent Modified Team: Amherst. The future bodes well for the Tigers.

City of Buffalo teams have recorded a 8-23 mark after 4 weeks of play, including 4 teams which are winless. 
Randolph's win over Iprep gave Pat Slater his 205 coaching victory.
Dick DiMunico with Alden's win over Buffalo East now has 235 career victories. He needs six more wins to pass Grand Island's Gene Master's mark of 240 career wins. With 6 wins, the legendary coach will rank #2 in WNY coaching wins behind Johnny Barnes, with 287 wins while at Canisius.
