The Crusader's had a dream season in 2012 with an 11-0 unbeaten season and winning the Msgr. Martin Assn. Championship. 

Rich Robbins returns 8 on defense, led by All-WNY Candidates Mike Sharpe and Josh Huffman. The offense will be sparked by Qadree "Q Express" Ollison, who rushed for a school record 1,876 yards and 25 TDs as a Junior, and is a candidate for 2,000 yards rushing and WNY Player of the Year Honors. Strong two-way players include Ryan Richards and Augie Touris. The key to the season will be the play of the QB, as last year's quarterback Tyler Mascio transferred back to Lake Shore. The Crusaders' struck gold with 6'6, 245 lb. Tyrone Wheatley Jr., and 5'11, 170 lb. Sophomore DB Terius Wheatley (they transferred from Fayetteville-Manilus.) Tyrone has already received scholarship offers from Alabama, Michigan, Penn State and Syracuse. The Crusaders' All-WNY Team & Jr. LB Brad Zaffram transferred from Sweet Home. Line will be anchored by 5'11, 285-lb. David Koeppel. They are the favorite to repeat as League Champions.

The Marauders return several starters on both sides of the ball from last year's 8-3 team. Offense to be sparked by All-WNY Candidates Nigel Davis, Rod Payne and Cordell Owens, along with Sophomore QB Mike McCarthy. Defense to be keyed by Tyler Hill, Tremaine Shelton, Payne Owens, and Robert Costanzo. Have tough matchups the first two weeks against St. Anthony's and Clarence. Will compete for League Title. Matchup at Canisius on Nov. 2nd will be a classic in one of the longest rivalries in the U.S.. Keys to the season will be play of QB and Line.

Line to be anchored by Ryan Zulawski and Adam Valenti. Defense to be led by Coleman, Manny Williams, and Nick Weikle. Return of 5 starters on both sides of the ball. Will compete for League Title. Key to season will be play of line. Open at Holy Trinity. Play Canisius and St. Joe's at home.

The Tigers had an excellent season in 2012, posting a 6-5 record losing to Canisius in the Championship game. Lost several quality starters to graduation. Offense to be led by All-WNY Candidates: RB Adam DiMillo, who rushed for 1,120 yards and 5 TDs as a Junior. Also, Derick Simpson and Brandon Donahue (a 5'8, 155 lbs. speedster -- runs a forty in 4.49). Defense to be led by Ryan Byrne and Nick Conklin. Charlie Comerford has done an excellent job in resurrecting the football program. Tigers will be competitive. Key to season will be the play of QB and Line. They host Aquinas in a tough matchup in week one.

Dave Hersey returns 7 starters on both sides of the ball from last year's 5-4 team. Offense to be sparked by Justin Hersey and All-WNY Candidate Nick Vallone, who has rushed for 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons. Defense is to be anchored by Nate Keith, Vallone and Dione Strong. Will be competitive. Last season, they defeated St. Francis and only lost to Canisius by 3 points.

Schedule makers for Msgr. Martin Assn. should be embarrased on short changing Lancers games in weeks 1 and 4. How can they give Nichols and not St. Mary's a contest vs. Cardinal O'Hara in week one? St. Mary's is a member of the Msgr. Martin Assn, while Nichols is an independent. Why then was St. Mary's given the shaft?
