Jamestown lost its first Regional to Aquinas (won the previous 4) as the Little Irish jumped to a 28-6 halftime lead and thwarted a second-half comeback by the Red Raiders. Jake Sisson threw for 299 yards, 1 TD and rushed for 49 yards and 2 TDs while Stephen Carlson caught caught 8 passes for 131 yards and 1 TD to lead the Red Raiders. Aquinas' 6'3 Sophomore QB was the MVP of the game as he passed for 313 yards, 4 TDs and rushed for 2 TDs in the win. Jamestown finished 10-1 for the season.
Williamsville North defeated Eastridge 23-20 to earn its first Far West Regional Title. The Spartans' Ryan Majewski connected with Zac Kelly on an 18-yard TD pass with 43 seasons remaining to move into the State Semi-finals against Union-Endicott.
Jake and Nick Ames, George Attea led the defense, while Offensive MVP honors went to Derick Isler, Sr. RB who rushed for 231 yards and 1 TD in the victory.
Depew won its first Regional Title, defeating Geneva 29-9 as Dylan Sekuterski, Dan Golba, Dylan Grant, Nick Yelich and Rod Turner led the Wildcats to victory. Defense intercepted 4 passes led by Dan Golba (was the game's MVP with an interception in the game's first minute.) The Wildcats move on to the semi-finals against 2-time defending State Champions Maine-Endwell.
Cleveland Hill earned its first Far-West Regional Title, defeating Wayland-Cohocton 46-20. Brandon Thomas, Sr. RB was the MVP as he rushed for 214 yards and 2 TDs while the defense was led by Josh "Mighty Mite" White, Steve McIllwain and Wayne Jones. The Golden Eagles dominated the contest and move on to face Chenango Forks (10-1) in the Semi-Finals.
Randolph -- the Cardinals won their 21st consecutive game, dominating Red Jacket 49-0 in a very impressive performance. Offense was led by QB Mitch Maycock, who threw for 2 TDs and Chris Doubek who rushed for 2 TDs, an illustration on how dominant the Cardinals were. At halftime, Red Jacket had no first downs and a total of -11 yards on offense. The line play of Michael Bowers, Wesley Senn, Jeff Andrews, Pat Kibbe, and Bryce Morrison was exceptional. The Cardinals move on to play Tioga in the semi-finals, an opponent they defeated in a very physical game 7-6.
