Davis and Stoldt: Kiss 98.5 FM Players of the Year

Nigel Davis, St. Joe's, Sr., was selected by Kiss 98.5 FM as the Msgr. Martin Player of the Year.

Nigel was a starter and All-League for the Marauders for all 4 years. He has been one of the most versatile players in WNY, as he has played QB, RB, WR, DB, punter, kicker, PATS, field goals and kickoffs.

Nigel has one more game to play in high school when St. Joe's plays Canisius for the Msgr. Martin Championship on Thursday, November 21st at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Brian Stoldt, Alden's Sr. was selected by Kiss 98.5 as the Section VI Player of the Year.

Brian was a starter and All-League for 3 years for the Bulldogs. The team's record during this time was 30-3, which included 2 Sectional Titles and a Far West Title. During his career, the Bulldogs won 39 consecutive games against Section VI opponents.

In 2013, the QB passed for 1,483 yards and 21 TDs, while rushing for 160 yards, 1 TD and recording 22 tackles on defense.

In his career, Brian threw for 3,151 yards, 41 TDs, rushed for 512 yards, 18 TDs for a total of 3,613 yards and 59 TDs. He accumulated 2,900 yards and 35 TDs on offense, while recording 112 tackles and 14 interceptions on defense. He has been team captain, a tremendous player, teammate and leader for St. Joe's. He is a captain of 3 sports -- football, basketball, and football. 

This season, he has accounted for 1,350 yards and 15 TDs, while recording 40 tackles, defended 12 passes and intercepted 1 pass.
