(bisons.com)- A trio of IronPigs pitchers blanked the Bisons on three hits in a 6-0 Lehigh Valley victory on Sunday afternoon at Coca-Cola Park. It's the 13th time Buffalo was shutout in 2012.

The Bisons will conclude the 2012 season on Monday afternoon with a 1:35 p.m. first pitch in the rubber match of a three-game set with the IronPigs.

The Bisons scored 24 runs in the first three games of their season-ending roadtrip, but could not dent the scoreboard on this night. The Herd had just three singles and went 0-6 with runners in scoring position.

Six of the scoreless frames were compliments of Lehigh Valley pitcher Tom Cochran. The southpaw also struck out seven batters to improve to 9-5 on the season.

Cochran's teammates gave him some early support with a four-run first inning. There were five singles in the frame with Cody Overbeck knocking in two of the runs with his grounder through the left side.

Overbeck drove home two more runs with another single in the fifth inning to put the game out of reach.

The loss for Buffalo went to Jenrry Mejia (3-4). The righty allowed six runs on 11 hits in six innings of work.

BISONS NOTES: Fernando Cabrera pitched the bottom of the 8th inning for his league-leading 57th appearance of the year. That total also ties the Bisons modern era record first set in 1990 by RHP Rich Batchelor...Brad Emaus, Josh Rodriguez and Matt den Dekker had the three Bisons singles...The Bisons struck out 12 times in the game.
