Bills wide receiver David Nelson has provided some insight into the decline in performance this season by quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Nelson is in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI and during an interview revealed that Fitzpatrick was playing hurt for the second half of the season. "Fitz during the Washington game actually cracked a couple of ribs, after that he was playing hurt," said Nelson.
Fitzpatrick and the Bills were 5-2 after that win against the Redskins, but were 1-8 for the rest of the year. Fitzpatrick threw 16 of his league leading 23 interceptions after the game against Washington.
