PITTSFORD, N.Y. - From the Bills logo on the sidewalks to the carts of athletic shoes being loaded into the locker room, St. John Fisher is in full transition mode.
Crews are hard at work getting ready as the players arrive of Friday and the Buffalo Bills hold their first practice of the 2013 training camp Sunday night.
Bills' Strength and Conditioning Coach Eric Ciano coordinates 3 tractor trailers full of weights and fitness gear, as they replicate their weight room at the Ralph here at Fisher.
Jeff Mazurek, the team's Director of Equipment is making sure that every player has all the gear they need from helmets to compression shirts. He says they will distribute more than 400 pairs of shoes during camp.
And speaking of big numbers, the St. John Fisher crew is making sure the dining facilities have what they need to meet the nutritional needs of the professional athletes who will call campus home through August 21st. Fisher's training camp Co-Director Steve Salluzzo says they will go through about 4500 pounds of fruit and between 15 and 18 hundred pounds of pasta during camp.
After moving in Friday afternoon, players will begin practice at 6pm Sunday evening.
