ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.- Holding an all pro running back to 17 yards and forcing a Super Bowl winning QB to throw five interceptions is no easy feat, but that's exactly what the Buffalo Bills defense did Sunday against the Ravens.

The Ravens struggled on the ground all game long, running only for a total of 24 yards.

"It is the fundamentals. At the end of the day it's gap football. If you do what you're supposed to do, each and every one of us you're going to stop the run. There's only so many gaps, so many places you can run," said Bills DE Mario Williams.

The Ravens did find more success in the passing game, throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns. However the Bills forced Ravens QB Joe Flacco into throwing five interceptions.

"We had some good pressure even when we weren't hitting [Flacco], we were around him making him move and disrupting some throws," said Bills DT Kyle Williams.

Limiting the Ravens success on third down was also a key component to the Bills win.

The Bills strong defensive performance is more impressive considering the fact that the Bills did it without three key defensive players. Cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and Leodis Mckelvin and Safety Jairus Byrd all sat out today's game due to injuries.

"Nobody cares if you have injuries. You have to go out there and perform and do whatever it takes to scratch and claw and get a win and we were able to do that today," said Bills Safety Jim Leonhard.
