Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Tennessee Titans have reportedly moved
quickly to find a new backup quarterback, agreeing to terms with former Bills
starter Ryan Fitzpatrick.
According to the Tennessean, Fitzpatrick has agreed to a two-year contract.
He'll take over from Matt Hasselbeck as the primary backup to Jake Locker.
Hasselbeck was released on Monday.
Fitzpatrick was released by the Bills earlier this month after he was
unwilling to restructure his contract. He agreed to a six-year, $59 million
contract extension in October 2011.
In 16 games for the Bills last season, the 30-year-old Harvard product threw
for 3,400 yards with 24 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He has thrown for
14,336 yards with 92 touchdowns and 81 interceptions in 73 NFL games with the
Bills, Bengals and Rams.
