BUFFALO, N.Y.-Two On Your Side's Adam Benigni spoke with Sabres general manager Darcy Regier late Tuesday afternoon. Reiger gave Adam a window into the Sabres plans for this off season.

Regier, very much aware of the Sabres unhappy fan base told Benigni his message to the fans is "hang in there, we're going to get better."

He said the Sabres need to address their lack of scoring and are focused on adding a center. Regier indicated the Sabres are willing to use their draft choices to acquire a player or players most likely through trades as this year's free agent class isn't that strong.

Regier told Adam that he doesn't consider this a "make or break year" for himself and head coach Lindy Ruff. Regier said he knows that "Lindy is growing as a coach and is getting better. I feel that I'm getting better, learning. I feel its a tremendous opportunity."

Regier said owner Terry Pegula's message is very simple. "Work together, stay together, trust each other and try some things and even if they don't work out learn from them. Keep learning and we'll keep improving."

Regier also said he's not concerned about Lindy Ruff's relationship with the players.  Derek Roy criticized Ruff on locker cleanout day for calling players out in the media.
