BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff will not be on the bench Wednesday night when the Sabres take on the Boston Bruins.
Ruff was injured on Monday when Jordan Leopold collided with him during practice. Ruff broke three ribs as a result of the collision.
Assistant coach James Patrick will lead the Sabres behind the bench on wednesday night. Ruff is expected to be in the building but is not in good enough condition to serve as the head coach.
