BUFFALO, N.Y. - Chicago Blackhawks star and South Buffalo native Pat Kane is apologizing for another off ice incident.
Shirtless pictures of Kane and two of his Blackhawks teammates, John Madden and Kris Versteeg, sitting in a limo with a couple of unidentified women were posted on-line this week.
Kane said the pictures were taken in Vancouver after the Blackhawks played the Canucks on Saturday night.
Kane spoke to reporters in Chicago on Thursday and said, "Well I've had a couple of incidents, obviously. Something I'm going to have to learn and obviously, I'm 21 years old, but probably time to grow up a little bit.''
This is not Kane's first off ice incident. He was arrested in Buffalo is past summer after a dispute with a cab driver. Kane made a similar comment when he returned to Buffalo this past December for a game against the Sabres. "You know especially after what happened you definitely take into consideration everything you do and pretty much everything I do off the ice now I try to treat like it's going to be publicized, basically like it's an interview you're always trying to give yourself the best impression. You know like I said probably helped me grow up a little bit, obviously it makes you more mature and helps you grow up.''
Kane will represent his country in the Olympics when he suits up for Team USA next month.
